The Art Centre Silkeborg Bad is primarily an Art Building with changing exhibitions. The institution’s charter states: “The purpose of the institution is to create and operate an international art centre that is to comprise among other things changing exhibitions and a permanent art collection on the Silkeborg Bad estate.”

Exhibitions of High Standard
The settings for the exhibitions are, with the many indoor rooms of varying size, well suited for theme exhibitions. We attach very great importance to the artistic quality in the choice of activities and the Art Centre only exhibits professional artists. We also attach great importance to create space for interdisciplinarity and dialogue opportunities between art from various parts of the world. The exhibitions may be of international or regional relevance. Both broad and narrow exhibitions are presented in a professional manner together with written information, conducted tours etc.
