Art Centre Silkeborg Bad is located right between Aarhus, Herning, Viborg and Horsens. You'll find us in the South Western part of Silkeborg about 1 km down Gjessøvej.

Arriving by Car

From Aarhus: Leave the motorway (A15) at exit 28. Continue ahead at route 195. Turn left towards Horsens and follow route 52. Turn right at Gjessøvej.
From Herning: Leave the motorway (A15) at exit 33. Follow route 195. Turn right towards Silkeborg at Herningvej. Turn right towards Horsens and follow route 52. Turn right at Gjessøvej.
From Viborg: Follow route 52 through the city. Turn right at Gjessøvej.
From Horsens: Follow route 52 into the city. Turn left at Gjessøvej.

Arriving by Train or Bus

Silkeborg has hourly train connections via Skanderborg or Herning, and there are excellent bus connections from the surrounding towns.

Local bus no. 10 leaves from the railway station/bus station and stops just 350 meters from the Art Centre at Kroghsvej (by Lake Ørnsø). From there, there is just 5 min. walk to the Art Centre.

Arriving on Foot

It takes approximately 15-20 minutes to walk from the train station to the Art Centre Silkeborg Bad. The Silkeborg Statsskovdistrikt (state forest district) has numerous marked hiking routes. From Dalgasgade it is possible to walk along the abandoned railway, ”Naturstien”, toward Horsens. After approximately 2 km., the Art Centre can be found 300 m. to the West down a forest path. Arriving by Bicycle

Cyclists from Silkeborg town centre may use the marked bicycle route from Dalgasgade along the abandoned railway. After approximately 2 km., the Art Centre can be found 300 m. to the West of the bicycle route.

From Ikast, Herning or Viborg:
From Ikast/ Herning: Leave the motorway at exit 35. Turn right onto Vejlevej (Highway 13)
From Pårup (Highway 13) proceed approx. 2 km.
Turn left onto Christianshedevej. Proceed approx. 4.3 kilometers.
Proceed along Sepstrupvej approx. 2.5 kilometers.
Turn left onto Brandevej and proceed approx. 3.9 kilometers.
Proceed approx. 4.8 kilometers along Gjessøvej to the Art Centre.

From Vejle
Highway 13 – to Hjøllund. Take the first exit in the roundabout and follow it approx. 50 m.
Follow Faurholtvej 4.9 kilometers.
Turn right onto Sepstrupvej and drive approx. 300 m.
Turn left onto Brandevej and proceed approx. 3.9 kilometers.
Proceed approx. 4.8 kilometers along Gjessøvej to the Art Centre.

From Horsens
From Salten. Drive 1 kilometer towards Silkeborg
Turn left towards Them. Proceed 2 kilometers
Turn right towards Gjessø. Proceed 4.5. kilometers
Turn right onto Gjessøvej and proceed 5.1. kilometers

From Aarhus/Randers
From Aarhus: Leave the motorway at exit 28.
Proceed by the ring road to Horsens (route 195)
Turn left towards Horsens (route 52)
Continue towards Horsens about 10 km
