Fighting and Playing – Bertamaria Reetz
Painting, graphics, drawing and sculpture are primarily media to German visual artist Bertamaria Reetz. The exhibition at Art Centre Silkeborg Bad is entitled Kämpfen und Spielen - Fighting and Playing. It is the first solo presentation in Denmark for the 65-year old artist. Her work is generally centered around human existence. Read more

MY JOURNEYS - WORKS FROM JENS OLESEN'S COLLECTION
With the coming exhibition, our focus is to communicate how there is a special focus on art from several Asian countries: China, Mongolia, North Korea and South Korea in Jens Olesen's art collection.
There are 60 selected works - mainly painting, but also some sculptures, which are now displayed. With his kind and big lending, Jens Olesen generously shares the love of art that has followed him throughout his life. Read more

The Road to Moscow
Textile translations by Anne Mette Larsen
The award-winning Danish weaver Anne Mette Larsen (born 1961) is now ready to show the third and final part of the course Auf der anderen Seite, which she in 2007 and 2012 respectively presented the first two parts of. Inspiration from the architecture of the concrete buildings and silent colors, first from Ukraine and now from Russia, are processed and translated into the image weaving structures and patterns. Her work represents both a truly unique global view, rare in Danish craftsmanship, and the introverted process of creating completely from the bottom - even when this involves a cycling tour of thousands of kilometers! Summerland architecture - the dream of the good life
The exhibition and the accompanying book, "Summerland Architecture - The Dream of the Good Life", is about ideas about the good life, as expressed in the summer homes of different times and communities. The examples cover the period from the beginning of the 19th century until today's primitive shelters in nature. Read more

Everything represents. Nothing is
The great Swedish film director Ingmar Bergman, who has made great impression on many with his enigmatic films, has also impressed other artists. Here are examples of Bergman's own films and selected installations of contemporary artists who have received inspiration from him, such as Swedish Ylva Snöfrid. Shown in cooperation with lending institutions, The Ingmar Bergman Foundation, Gävle Konstcentrum in Sweden, and Fotografisk Center in Copenhagen. Read more

Conversation - S.E.S. 2019
Artists this year create Sculpture Experiment Silkeborg together with citizens of different age groups. Theme is: Conversation. The audience meets the project at several addresses in the public space in Silkeborg. 14 –18 October: Workshops. 19 -27 October: Audience period. 100 % FOREIGN?
100% FOREIGN? writes itself into Denmark's history as the first project to collect personal reports from citizens, who statistically represents the 161,000 refugees who have come to the country since 1956 from a total of 29 different countries. The audience can meet stories in text and image of up to 300 Danish citizens with refugee background when the documentary art project visits KunstCentret Silkeborg Bad. Read more

IMAGINARIUM 2019
There is no small role in the theater world - everything matters. The sense exhibition of the year is created by the theater cman Matej Forman from Prague and his international colleagues, with references to the circus. The interactive installations of the sense exhibition are aimed at children and other playing beings who have the courage to dive into the universe of fantasy. Special opening hours for institution visits. Shown in collaboration with Festival of Wonder, Silkeborg. Read more

Funen Spring
The exhibition celebrates the 90th anniversary of the Funen Spring Exhibition.
In most places, the artists' associations have long since dissolved, but not on Funen. Here, the cohesiveness thrives, and the current 17 members show what is moving right now.
In the retrospective part of the exhibition, works by 17 now deceased members has been selected. Some have participated from the beginning and all are part of the association's 90-year history. The initiators of the exhibition are Jens Bohr and Lars Abrahamsen. Read more
